Family Safe Eats an innovative web site designed to help consumers find a safe and intimidation free dining experience to enjoy with family and friends during these tough political times
Both Conservatives and Liberals are looking for a safe intimidation free places to enjoy meals with family and friends.
Philadelphia, PA – In response to the recent trend of diners in public restaurants facing intimidation from mobs due to their political beliefs, Civility for Peace has launched its new web site Familysafeeats.com. This site is specifically designed to provide a resource to help guide diners to a restaurant where they can feel comfortable and know that it is safe to bring their family.
Today there is growing aggression towards people in public over their political beliefs that many people feel has gotten out of control. Politics is an important part of our society, but far from the most important. Unfortunately, today it is polluting every other part of our lives. Friends and families are unable to get together due to differing political beliefs. Without polite conversation, politics does not work. Today our country has moved far beyond politeness and civility has flown out the window. Violent protests have become the norm and this cancer has found its way into restaurants. All Americans have the right to feel safe no matter their political beliefs.
Family Safe Eats is a first step to reestablish a civil society in the United States where families can feel safe and we are starting with dining. Civility for Peace decided to build a website that is a nationwide directory of over 500,000 restaurants and allow them to identify themselves as: Family Friendly, Conservative Friendly, Liberal Friendly or Unfriendly. The directory site makes it easy for restaurant owners to identify their establishment based upon their beliefs. There is room for everyone and every restaurant on this site. A restauranteur can self-identify their establishment in line with their personal beliefs. They can state that they do or do not want individuals with certain political beliefs to feel safe and secure dining with them. Our hope is that most will commit that all individuals are safe in their establishments.
For consumers, Family Safe Eats allows them to search for a restaurant where they can feel safe from political intimidation and violence while dining. Diners have the choice of searching for a restaurant that is safe for their political beliefs or one that is safe for everyone. Diners can feel secure due to the pledge taken by the restauranteur to provide an intimidation free environment.
Protesting is a right that all Americans enjoy. They do not enjoy the right to protest in a private business on private property, inside a restaurant. Family Safe Eats asks restauranteurs to make a commitment to keep their businesses free of protests and intimidation by asking protesters to go outside, off private property and to remain on legal protesting property. If intimidation and violence continues inside a restaurant, restauranteurs should call police and ask them to remove the trespassing protesters from their establishments. Restauranteurs are encouraged to collect video evidence for the prosecution of the invading voilent law breakers.
After catching a piece of the news one morning, co-founder Brian Ankney, feared intimidation being used against his mother, father, grandmothers, and siblings. The thought of people being so unsafe in the United States while just trying to enjoy a meal with friends and family sickened him and the idea for a directory of safe places to dine was born.
“After Sara Sanders was intimidated by a mob inside a restaurant and asked to leave because she worked for President Trump, I was appalled that something like that could happen in this great country,” said Peter “webdoc” Martin owner of Cactus Sky Digital.
Family Safe Eats will become a perfect resource for consumers seeking an intimidation free dining experience, as it contains over 500,000 restaurants across the country and it is Free to use. It was conceived by Peter and Brian.
The navigation of the site has been designed to be very functional for easy research and convenience.
“The world has changed and hopefully not forever. Our goal is to help people and their families feel secure while dining and return this country to civility.”
